HOW DOES THE LASEMD ULTRA WORK?

ULTRA operates with a 1927 nm wavelength laser, effectively rejuvenating both the epidermis and dermis layers of the skin.

WHAT IS THE LASEMD ULTRA TREATMENT LIKE?

At LD on the Bay, your provider may choose to apply numbing cream before treatment, depending on the specific setting that will be used. However, for the "Ultra Glo" treatment, numbing medication is typically unnecessary.
Patients often describe the treatment as a warm, tingling sensation, which can vary in intensity. Treatment duration typically spans from 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
Immediately post- treatment, you many observe some redness, which typically diminishes within the next day or so.
Over the next 5-7 days, your skin may develpe a dry, sandpaper-like texture. This is a normal part of the healing process as your skin sheds old cells, revealing a fresher, clearer complextion.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENT WITH LASEMD ULTRA?

Prepare your skin by refraining from wearing makeup before your appointment.
Steer clear of using retinols or tretinoin (Retin A) for at lease one week prior to your treatment.
Inform your provider if you have a history of Herpes Simplex or Shingles, as precautionary medication may be necessary to prevent an outbreak.

WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR TREATMENT WITH LASEMD ULTRA?

Use mild soap for 10 days.
Avoid glycolic acid, exfoliants, soap containing salycilic acid or alcohol for 14 days
Avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen.
Avoid wearing makeup for 24 hours after treatment.
